Victor Ortiz vs. Andre Berto II, billed as Repeat or Revenge, is a Boxing welterweight non-title super fight. The bout will be held on February 11, 2012, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on the Las Vegas Strip, United States. Berto has vacated his IBF belt in favor of the shot at revenge against Ortiz, who dethroned Berto as WBC titleholder by unanimous decision in April on HBO.[1][2]

Golden Boy Promotions and DiBella Entertainment are promoting the fight. A Showtime series, Fight Camp 360°, will document Ortiz's and Berto's training preparations in the lead up to their bout. A Fight Camp 360 preshow, ads on CBS and interviews with both fighters will air during the AFC Championship halftime on Jan. 22.[3]
Showtime outbid HBO for the right to broadcast the Ortiz-Berto rematch. With a substancial offer and the subscription cable network, for $2.25 million, according to a source involved in the match, which was considerably more than HBO's initial offer of $1.75 million and just $100,000 more than HBO's final offer of $2.15 million, the same amount it paid for the first bout.[4][5][6]
It will do that by promoting the fight across the various Showtime and CBS broadcast platforms, including spots on the CBS network, as though it were a pay-per-view event.
Both Victor Ortiz and Andre Berto agreed to Olympic style drug testing for this fight, which includs random sampling of blood and urine.[7]
Berto and his promoter, Lou DiBella, announced that Berto and Ortiz are attempting to undergo random drug testing under the same protocols as USADA, although theirs will be implemented by a different group organization. It is also a way for Ortiz to show that he is not using steroids, as he had been accused by Berto and his Team after his win.[8]
On April 16, 2011 Ortiz outpointed Berto to win a welterweight title in a thrilling slugfest -- both fighters were knocked down twice each -- in one of the year's best fights.
Ortiz then lost the belt by knockout to Floyd Mayweather Jr. on September 17, 2011.
Berto bounced back from the loss to Ortiz to stop Jan Zaveck on September 3, 2011 to win another version of the 147-pound title.
Saddled with a mandatory defense against Randall Bailey that neither HBO nor Showtime were interested in buying -- and wanting to avenge his lone professional loss -- Berto vacated his title earlier this month, paving the way for the rematch with Ortiz.[4]
Beginning with the Feb. 11 show, the network will televise undercard bouts that are usually left off the Showtime broadcast on Showtime Extreme, a sister network dedicated to action films and the rebroadcast of Showtime sports events.[5]
